The L.E. Phillips Career Development Center has a Project SEARCH program. Project SEARCH is a nine month program that serves as a fifth year for high school students. Students are provided with real-life work experience, as well as training in employment and life skills. This program is for individuals with disabilities to help transition from school to a productive adult life. After the program, CDC staff, school districts, and the program staff help each individual find a career in our local communities.
There are currently 2 different programs ran by CDC. One is at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Eau Claire and the second is at the Walmart Distribution Center in Menomonie.
Visit project SEARCH on Facebook to see the program in action or find a location near you.
