The L.E. Phillips Career Development Center has a Project SEARCH program. Project SEARCH is a nine month program that serves as a fifth year for high school students. Students are provided with real-life work experience, as well as training in employment and life skills. This program is for individuals with disabilities to help transition from school to a productive adult life. After the program, CDC staff, school districts, and the program staff help each individual find a career in our local communities.
There are currently 2 different programs ran by CDC. One is at Mayo Clinic Health System-Eau Claire and the second is at the Walmart Distribution Center in Menomonie.
Visit project SEARCH on Facebook to see the program in action or find a location near you.
