Prevocational Services
Prevocational Services are designed to develop employment related skills while meeting the individual’s needs.
Prevocational services teach employment related skills and concepts such as:
- Attendance
- Attention span
- Effective workplace communication
- Effective social skills and conduct
- Following directions
- Motor skills
- Personal self-care and appearance
- Problem solving
- Public transportation
- Safety
- Task completion
On a yearly basis, there are over 130 people with disabilities employed in the Prevocational Services program. The program includes Case Management Services and the opportunity to explore different work experiences within the facility and on-site training.
Work opportunities include:
- packaging
- sewing
- upholstery
- custodial
- cafeteria
- printing
- lawn care & snow removal
- shipping & receiving
- woodworking
